Since 27 March 2025, if you give false or misleading information when you apply for or renew a Disabled Person's Parking Permit, you could be:
💶Fined up to €2,500
💶Put in prison for 6 months
If you park in a disabled parking space without a valid permit, you can be fined €150.
You can also be fined €200 for misusing a disabled person's parking permit.
You can apply for a parking permit that lets you park in a disabled parking space in Ireland and the EU if you have a severe restricted mobility or are certified as blind.
